Door card (poker)

Also: door

Poker term

The first face-up card dealt on 3rd street in Stud.

This card decides who pays the bring-in and who looks strong on 3rd street. In Stud, the lowest door card pays the bring-in; in Razz, the highest. If your door card beats everyone behind you (in Razz, is lower), you can complete and steal regardless of your hole cards.
