Limit / Pot-limit / No-limit (poker)

Also: Limit, pot-limit, no-limit, FL, PL, NL

Poker term

Fixed bet sizes, bets up to the pot, and no cap.

Even in the same Hold'em, strategy changes a lot between Limit and NL. In Limit, bet sizes are fixed and the number of raises is capped; in Pot-limit you can bet up to the size of the pot; in No-limit, up to your stack. Example: with a pot of 10, the biggest Pot-limit bet is 10, and in No-limit you can bet your whole stack.
