A low hand whose cards below the top card are low.
In Razz, a 3-card 8 is smooth if the two cards under the 8 are 5 or lower (2-5-8). When it completes, it's strong among 8-lows, and more of the cards you catch along the way are good ones. A hand bunched at the top, like 6-7-8, is rough.
