Pure bluff / Air (poker)

Also: Air, Pure bluff, Nothing

Poker term

A hand with no pair and no strong draw.

It is the "give up" group when hands are split into four. A lone gutshot or just two overcards also go here, and the default line example is b/x/x. You may bet only when you are the raiser, the board favors your range (for example, Q-high or higher and dry), and the opponent is a player who folds; if any one is missing, check. Example. QJ on K♠ 8♦ 3♣ is a dry K-high board, so bet 33% once; on 7♥ 6♥ 4♣ the board is bad for you, so check.
