Gapper (one-gapper)

Hole cards with one rank missing between them.

J9, 86, and so on. With two or more gaps (J8, 85), straights come less often, so EQR is lower. In PLO it means four cards with one gap in the middle (such as J-T-9-7). The lower the gap, the stronger (bottom gap).
