The formula is 1 − alpha. Against a ½-pot bet you must continue 67% of the time, or the opponent's bluffs profit automatically. Apply it only when deciding whether to continue with hands that beat only bluffs (bluff catchers). Live opponents often don't bluff, so you can fold more than MDF.
