A game where the best high hand and the best low hand split the pot.
A low must be 5 unpaired cards of 8 or lower (the best is A-2-3-4-5), and hands that can win both halves (scoop) are strong. Example: with A♠ 2♦ K♣ Q♥ on a board of 3♠ 5♦ 8♣ K♦ 9♥, you make the low with A-2 and 3-5-8, and the high (a pair of kings) with K♣ Q♥ and K♦ 9♥ 8♣. Not the same as Hi-Lo in blackjack (the counting system). Limit O8 is the O in HORSE, the pot-limit version is PLO8, and the 5-card version is Big O.
