The dealer checking the hole card first when the upcard is an ace or a 10.
A hole-card rule. If the dealer has blackjack, the hand ends before players act, so you don't lose extra money from doubles or splits. Example: with an ace up and a 10 underneath, the hand ends as soon as the dealer checks. OBO with no hole card ends up with the same result.
