In Hi-Lo, splitting half the pot again so you get only a quarter.
If two players have the same nut low, they split the low half between them. With n players putting in the same amount, your result is "amount in × (n ÷ 4 − 1)." Example. In a 3-way pot you put in 100 and get back 75, for −25. With 4 or more players you break even or better.
