Playing a strong hand weakly so the opponent bets.
Against aggressive players (LAG or maniac), checking a strong hand to let them bet wins more. Example. With top set, KK, on K♠ 8♦ 3♣ against a LAG, check and let them bet. Against players who don't fold it does little, so just bet.
