LAG (poker)

Also: loose-aggressive, loose aggressive

Poker term

A loose, aggressive player.

VPIP 25% or more, with PFR (preflop raise rate) at least three quarters of VPIP (most entries are raises). Adjustments: bluff-catch wider, trap with strong hands (check and let them bet), and cut back on light 3-bets. Example. VPIP 28 / PFR 24 is a LAG, and the extreme version is a maniac.
