Trips (poker)

Poker term

Three of a kind made with a board pair and one hole card.

The pair is visible on the board, so opponents can hold the same three of a kind. Then the kicker decides the pot. Example. On 7♠ 7♦ 2♣, you with 7♥ K♦ and an opponent with 7♣ Q♦ both have trips, and your king kicker wins.
