Zero-sum (poker)

Also: Zero sum

Poker term

A game where everyone's wins and losses add up to 0.

One player's win is another's loss. Example. When two players each put in 50 and one takes the pot, the results are +50 and −50, which add up to 0. Poker is zero-sum apart from the rake. In a two-player zero-sum game, GTO can guarantee you "don't lose."
