- You bet on two equal hands and, after seeing all four cards, decide once whether to swap their second cards.
- In exchange a dealer 22 is a push and blackjack pays 1 to 1. The published house edge is about 0.58%.
- Bet the same amount on two hands. After seeing the four cards, decide once whether to swap the second cards of hand 1 and hand 2 (after insurance and the dealer’s blackjack check)
- An ace and a 10-point card made by switching is 21, not blackjack
- When the dealer makes 22, every hand of 21 or less pushes (an unswitched blackjack still beats 22)
- Blackjack pays 1 to 1 (and ties a dealer blackjack)
- Double on any two cards and after splits. Split up to 4 hands per starting hand; split aces get one card each
Example: 10 on each hand. Hand 1 is a 10 and a 5, hand 2 is a 6 and a K, dealer shows 6.
- Keep: 15 and 16. Stand on both against a 6; the sum is −0.42 per unit bet
- Switch: hand 1 becomes 10 and K for 20, hand 2 becomes 6 and 5 for 11 (double). The sum is +1.09
